InCa 2023 award for Ignazio Piseddu

The prize provides funding of €20,000 to support scientific research projects in the field of "Innovation in Lung Cancer"

ignazio_inca2023all400px Ignazio Piseddu is one of the three winners of the InCa Award 2023. He will receive €20,000 for his research project "Combination of CAR T cell therapy with innate immune stimulation to enhance CAR T cell functionality for treatment of non-small cell lung cancer". Ignazio is a member of the Hornung lab, where he will also carry out this project.

The InCa Prize (Innovation in Lung Cancer) was awarded for the fourth time in 2023. The aim of the InCa Award is to support young scientists in the field of thoracic oncology who are advancing innovative hypothesis-generating or hypothesis-driven research projects in the fields of basic research, preclinical or translational oncology in the indication of lung cancer. The award provides financial resources to support scientific research projects in the field of "Innovation in Lung Cancer".
