The major task of cell division is the accurate dissemination of the genetic information to daughter cells. Macromolecular protein assemblies provide a structural framework and serve as site for feedback control mechanisms ensuring the correct order of events. We combine mass spectrometry, chemical crosslinking, biochemistry and cell biology to investigate the architecture and mechanism of protein complexes built on centromeric chromatin. Read more...
