- Proteomic Approach to Testicular Ageing
Our research activity comprises proteome analysis during early embryogenesis in mammals, proteomic characterization of large animal disease models for molecular biomedical research (Diabetes, Duchenne muscular dystrophy), and secretome analysis of human testicular peritubular cells (HTPC) in the context of spermatogenesis. We perform holistic as well as targeted proteomic approaches using latest mass spectrometry instrumentation. Read more...

1.1.2018: New QExactive HF-X mass spectrometer
A new QExactive HF-X mass spectrometer was installed at the LAFUGA proteomics facility and is now fully operational. The recently released QExactive HF-X is a state-of-the-art fast scanning high resolution mass spectrometer, allowing the in-depth proteome analysis of complex protein mixtures. Compared to our previous instruments, the sensitivity as well as the peptide identification rate is significantly improved.
