Information on studies and teaching

LMU Munich provides latest information and lists current measures in relation to the corona virus (SARS-CoV-2). Please inform yourself regularly.

Access to LMU buildings

LMU buildings are currently opened for in-person classes and library services only with partially reduced hours of operation. In addition, employees may enter the buildings individually with transponders (e.g., for access to laboratories for research purposes). The procedure for requesting a locking authorization can be found for employees in the service portal. Locking authorizations issued during the spring 2020 building closure will continue to function. In addition, further exemptions apply in special cases, e.g. for areas with tasks in human and veterinary patient care and research.

Based on the current legal framework effective and depending on the further development of the situation in the winter semester 2021/22, the following is in effect: If the 7-day-incidence exceeds 35, students and visitors are only allowed to enter LMU buildings if they are fully vaccinated, have recovered from a COVID-19 infection or can provide a negative COVID-19 test result (3G-rule). Controls will be conducted by the LMU security staff at the entrances of the buildings. Faculty may also conduct controls.
