Nina Henriette Uhlenhaut, Professor at the LMU Department of Biochemistry since 2018, has received Germany’s most important prize for junior scientists.
Nina Henriette Uhlenhaut, Professor at the LMU Department of Biochemistry and head of the research group Molecular Endocrinology at the Helmholtz Zentrum München (Institute for Diabetes and Cancer, IDC) was an Emmy Noether Group Leader at the IDC from 2013 to 2018 and received an ERC starting grant in 2014.
Uhlenhaut 's research focuses on the molecular mechanisms of transcriptional regulation of metabolic homeostasis by nuclear hormone receptors.
The Heinz Meier-Leibnitz prize is awarded by the DFG and the BMBF every year to honor young scientists. The award includes prize money of 20.000 € and the award ceremony will take place on Mai 28 in Berlin.
