Nina Henriette Uhlenhaut appointed

New Professorship of Metabolic Biochemistry and Genetics

Nina Henriette Uhlenhaut, head of the research group Molecular Endocrinology at the Helmholtz Zentrum München (Institute for Diabetes and Obesity, IDO), has been appointed Professor of Metabolic Biochemistry and Genetics at the LMU Department of Biochemistry.

Uhlenhaut 's research focuses on (mechanisms of) transcriptional regulation of metabolic homeostasis by nuclear hormone receptors. She is an Emmy Noether Group Leader at the IDO since 2013 and was awarded an ERC starting grant in 2014.
