Römer prizes 2024 awarded

The Römer Foundation honors young researchers for their excellent scientific achievements.
On November 29, 2024, the Römer Prizes were awarded for the 19th time for outstanding achievements by young scientists in the Departments of Biochemistry and Chemistry. The following people received Römer prizes of €500 for outstanding achievements in their master's theses:
- Markus Frankenbach (Ochsenfeld lab)
- Jakob Hartmann (Tinnefeld lab)
- Tobias Walter (Carell lab)
Furthermore, the following people were awarded Römer prizes of €1,250 for their doctorates:
- Felix Heinz Bangerter (Ochsenfeld lab)
- Maximilian Bechtel (Trapp lab)
- Lennart Grabenhorst (Tinnefeld lab)
- Franziska Kunert (Hopfner lab)
- Martina Pfeiffer (Tinnefeld lab)
- Helena Singer (Daumann lab)

Since 2005 the Dr. Klaus Römer Foundation has been supporting research at the LMU Munich by awarding personal stipends to outstanding graduate students, postdocs and junior group leaders at the Departments of Chemistry and Biochemistry.
