Lucas Jae and Johannes Stigler are tenured now

At the Department of Biochemistry, two professors were newly tenured: Lucas Jae and Johannes Stigler
Congratulations!
Lucas Jae who has joined the Gene Center in 2016 as an independent group leader, is now tenured professor of Functional Genomics.
During his time at the Gene Center Lucas received several prestigous prizes e.g. the Heinz Maier-Leibnitz-Prize in 2018, the Life Sciences Bridge Award in 2021, and the Alfried Krupp-Förderpreis in 2022. In 2018, he has been awarded an ERC starting grant to explore the suppression of organelle defects in human disease.

Johannes Stigler, a fellow of the DFG Emmy Noether Program, joined the Gene Center in 2017. He is now tenured professor of Physical Biochemistry.
Johannes has won an ERC starting grant in 2017 to study chromosomal domain formation, compartmentalization and architecture
