Biosafety
The Gene Center Flow Cytometry Facility is approved by the Institutional Biosafety Committee to handle samples of biosafety level 2 (BSL2) and below. The safety of facility personnel and users is of ultimate concern. Information about the sample sources and potentially infectious agents is critical for biosafety measures to be effective.
If applicable, a biosafety information form (Formblatt Z) must be filled out and signed by the Project Leader for each new experiment that will require flow acquisition and sorting.
All users with S1 application must present Formblatt Z on site.
S2 applications are possible, but require additional approval by the local authorities. If you are interested in conducting FACS sorting experiment at BSL2, contact Dr. Neda Tafrishi beforehand.
