Postdocs

If you have a PhD in life sciences (or are about to) and want to dive deep into cutting-edge functional genomics, mitochondria and protein homeostasis for your postdoctoral training in beautiful Munich, contact Lucas by email at jae@genzentrum.lmu.de with a letter of motivation, CV (incl. contact info of references) and certificates.

PhD Thesis

We seek highly motivated candidates who share our dedication to science and enthusiasm for interdisciplinary research with an excellent Master’s degree (or equivalent) in biomedicine, human biology, biology, biochemistry, or similar. You are expected to be able to perform experiments independently, analyze data of high complexity, and work well in a team. Excellent communication skills and a solid background in molecular and cellular biology techniques, as well as genetics are required. Expertise in bioinformatics and a sense of humor are a plus.

The Jae lab is a small, independent group embedded in the stimulating, interdisciplinary environment of the life sciences campus Großhadern of the Ludwig-Maximilians University Munich (LMU). Our lab is located in the brand-new research center for Molecular Biosystems (BioSysM) with access to excellent instrumentation and facilities in-house and on campus. Downtown Munich can be reached by public transport within 20 minutes, the German Alps in ca. 1 hour.

    Master Thesis

    We continuously seek excellent and ambitious students with an interest in genomics, CRISPR, molecular biology and human disease. Interested candidates with a solid background in life sciences are invited to get in touch about possibilities jae@genzentrum.lmu.de

    Although we have very limited capacity for the supervision of students at an early stage of their scientific career, outstanding Master students with solid wet lab experience and the ability to work independently are welcome to get in touch about possibilities jae@genzentrum.lmu.de.
